and it escapes you

that you don’t know

you think that by using

strong words

owning meaning beyond your ken

powerful words

holding strength beyond your mind

short words

more than three but less than five

you could seek to sway multitudes

call vast armies to your banner

yet your cause is fallen ere it rise

for you don’t know

and of that which you do not know

is that you don’t know

you don’t know anything at all

and I weep for you

and I pray for you

for also of what you don’t know

that you do not know

is knowing He who knows you

more fully than you know yourself

before your beginning

beyond your ending

He knows you

and failing knowing Him

you know nothing of Life

free

and for the taking
